In my humble opinion - this blog goes too far. It takes away from the great discourse we have been having in regards to what is happening locally. Some will indeed find it amusing, but it adds nothing to what we are all trying to do and that is better the city we live in.

Plus, this gives others a chance to hit you for a little bit of foolishness.

Stay on topic, you have been doing a great job and do not fall into theatrics, it will only hurt your reputation.

Again, it is only my opinion.

Get off your high horse Tom Paine. Take a joke once in a while. This regime has done nothing good for the city, and everything he has done has made us far worse off. We need a laugh occasionally.

I agree with you tom but, we need some comic relief. It is ok to laugh once in a while.

Thanks for the laughs Shamrock

Right on Tom Paine...all of the fall river based blogs are extremely negative hateful places. They are dominated by nasty personal attacks everybody is a liar a thief a crook a dummy a bum on and on it goes..the contribution the blogging community makes to fall river is a disgraceful one they should take the endless amounts of hateful energy and use it to examine themselves it would do all of us a service

Just the facts m'aam. Shamrock, please keep your opinions and blog posts within the guidelines of anonymous 20:14. Maybe anonymous 20:14 should get there own blog and post their opinion there.

20:14, The people in power are scared of the blogs. Mostly because they are liars, cheats and thieves. The facts have never been put out there before. That is what bothers people.

If once in a while the bloggers have a little fun with it, all the better for us. It keeps things fun and interesting.

I don't get the SMILES connection there are a lot of people writing those letters.

Herald News Editor Lisa Strattan lives with Jim Mathis, who runs SMILES.
Smiles is a program in the Fall Rive schools that takes corporate money to run...like Amari Walker's program

Blog
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
For other uses, see Blog

A blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, one which consists of blogs with very short posts. With the advent of video blogging, the word blog has taken on an even looser meaning — that of any bit of media wherein the subject expresses his opinion or simply talks about something.

Hey, Tom, remember all those crazy cartoons of George III you and your band of treason mongers used to chuckle about back in the day? You sure were keen on eradicating George from your lives. Then again, maybe you were above enjoying a jolly sardonic caricature when you saw one. But, cripes, you went and overthrew a whole royal kingdom, so maybe you should cut Shamrock some slack on this one.

Your logo's need a mission statement, something like karams
statement in the paper- the city of fall river should kiss my ass or I don't give a rat's ass about the city of fall river.

To Puck.

Good point, I just thought Shamrock was doing such a great job with the information I would have hated to see that hard work be taken away.

But I guess a little humor once in awhile relieves the tension for some.

I myself was never much in for the cartoons, I enjoyed the writing aspect. You should see some of the cartoons the English, and later on my enemies here in the states...awful, just awful.

You are a gentleman among gentle men and ladies, my good fellow, and your writing continues to stimulate thoughtful discourse!
