Trolleys and Tacos

Much like Jacoby Ellsbury’s World Series base steal that won me, and all of America a free taco, I felt that Bob Correia’s Mayoral victory won me, and the city of Fall River, a fleet of trolleys (and by win I mean that he will probably blow a huge chunk of the city budget on trolleys and that our property taxes will go up so his dream will be realized). It was a thought that sounded pretty great for 2 seconds until I snapped out of it and realized that a free taco for everyone in Fall River would be more useful than a trolley ride to North/South Main Street.

Correia intends to shut down parts of North and South Main Streets from Friday p.m. to Sunday p.m. to car traffic and only allow trolleys and foot traffic. His illogical intent is to increase restaurant and shop business on the weekends. I am not sure about the rest of you, but if I need a pawned gold bracelet and a Subway sandwich I want to be able to drive to those fine establishments.
