Corporal David Miller Receives Purple Heart and Bronze Star

"Let it be known that he who wears the military order of the purple heart has given of his blood in the defense of his homeland and shall forever be revered by his fellow countrymen." ~George Washington, August 7, 1782

Corporal David Miller was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star today, for his service to our country. In addition, Miller Green looks fantastic with a new flag pole flying the American and POW MIA flags, new flowers, and stonework.

Thank you to everyone who made this happen and thank you to everyone, past and present, who have served in the military, to protect our freedoms.

2009: The year of the Fall River blogs. Congrats to all of you who made this happen in the face of people who told you nothing would happen. Hopefully the voters will get to the polls this election season and realize that change is possible. Now we just need more qualified candidates to take out papers and run for office.

Wish this had been the original intension.. Still I am happy for the Millers' and by the way if you sit up on North Main Street, you can see the fireworks without all the ruckus of Hertitage Park... Awesome Fireworks! Awesome memorial to the Millers and all vets!

From the Sterile Snooze

Department of Public Works Director Kenneth Pacheco said plans were made weeks ago to run two trolleys 24 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday.

The trolleys ran 24 hours a day? At 4 or 5 in the morning?
