I liked Brad Kilby regardless of who was or wasn't backing him, Eric Poulin and Dave Sullivan too are okay in my book. I have to think that if any of them came out and ran it would be their race to lose. I think they would certainly have a better shot than the current crop of Steve Camara, Cathy Ann Viveiros and Ray Hague. I like Ray on the Council but don't see him in the mayor's role. Steve Camara well, speaking of lunatic fringe, a good councilor but way too far out there at times. Cathy? She voted with the mayor all last year and is just changing her tune recently as are other Councilors like Mike Lund, etc. They are distancing themselves from Correia now because they know his poll numbers are in the toilet. Those aren't people that are out for the city, just themselves.
The Kilbys and Herrens are like family. They go back a long time when Kilby was a teacher at Durfee some 15 years ago. I was also a student of Brad Kilby. He was a great teacher and coach. No one should be making a judgment about Kilby base on a dislike for Mike Herren. I cannot think of a more active community person than Kilby. He is sincere and cares about Fall River. By the way he is also very smart guy.

Enough already with this nonsense. Kilby ran for mayor. The Herren's supported him. Some simple facts.Kilby has known the Herren family for years upon years. Al Herren was a State Rep. for 10 years and never lost an election. As a candidate for public office would anyone not want to have the opportunity to pick the brain of an individual with that track record ? Plus Al is a blast to talk to. There is obviously a lot of dislike among the bloggers for Mike Herren. Like it or not Mike is one of the most well known people in Fall River. I know many of you have never had a face to face conversation with him but I have. One on one , about politics. Guess what? It's worth it. He has great energy and has a ton of ideas all geared at making Fall River a better place. Brad is obviously a smart guy. Another thing he is is loyal to his friends, both old and new. That is a plus people, not a minus.

Like JT has stated, at one time he was one of the most powerful State Reps we have had in years. Give me a break. If you speak with Al, you will realize that the man is very intelligent. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Mike is right there. He voice was heard loud and clear. The firefighters would be doing much better with Al Herren as Mayor. Go for it Al.

Oh, my God! How cool would it be if Al Herren ran for Mayor! I know what his slogan would be: "I want to be mayor so I'll have a shorter distance to not go to work." Right Al? LOL He could appoint Mike as the chief of police - nobody has as much first-hand knowledge about the law as Mike Herren. LOL
Last time I saw Al Herren he did not look like he was in any condition to run to the nearest exit, never mind run for mayor. As for Mike Herren he is probably about as mature as a 14 year old. Combine that with the obvious problems he wrestles with, Not exactly candidate material

Back when The Herald news was printing WSAR editorials..Lisa Stratton was trying to get an afternoon talk show on WSAR to go with her other blatantly based media job.
Karams said she'd get the show if The HN endorsd Correia.
Lisa gave Correis the endorsement, but trhe Karams welched on the deal and gave the show to Hurricane. They already had the endorsement, so they decided they didn't have to pay off.

Scamrock Minister of Misinformation..hurricane said he talked to a handful of fire fighters and a few called and emailed him.Infact i was with the Hurricane when a few of them came by his house late night.They were thanking him for his balanced style on his radio show and having a few beers.The FR Firefighters and Hurricane are tight period.

I am certain that one and possibly 2 of my 150 posts have been about Herren, that is true but that is far from 1/2, it's acutally 1/75. Most of the things I talk about are current events, and I am pretty sure Herren and I aren't the only ones talking about them.

First off i am a fire fighter..second i dont know Herren that well..thirdly i did respond to that fire and it was one of the most regretful days we have had on the job..the civillian dispatchers screwed that up big time sending us to barnes st as opposed to bond st.there a three stations within a mile of that house and 13 minutes to get water on that house is a tragedy..finally the fire inspectors and the state police dogs investigated the fire for accelerants and none were found it was an old house and the fire started in the walls in the basement.Whatever issues the bloggers have with mr herren please leave us out of it.He has a difficult job and we have no problems with how he does it!1
