Well at least she speaks in full sentences and has an idea!!! Unlike her colleagues Ray and Leo who want a LNG termanal and million dollar homes near our drinking water shed!!! These are the other two bozos ideas to make money!!!!!

Ray Hague does not support the LNG terminal.

Union stooge. Cut the administrators salaries and reinstate the union positions without making any sacrifices? Give me a break.

At least she had an idea to bring back public safety employees. That is more than we are hearing from the 6th floor.

Here ideas are like her -- lacking in substance or realism, but the packaging is good by Fall River standards.

Can you explain to me how her idea isn't realistic? She cited consistently decreased claim levels over the past few years. Based on the trend, it seems like a reasonable projection that we would maintain at those claim levels this year which would lead to the savings she cited. It is worth further investigation.

For $1 million, I could live in Milton, Hingham, Newton, etc. Why would I pay $1 million for a Fall River address? Does it come with some prestige of which I'm unaware?

If really nice 3,000+ sq. ft. homes in the Highlands (with lots of charm and character) can't sell, I doubt there will be great demand for a Home Depot/Rubbermaid McMansion.

I am with you SnobZoning (great name!). I don't see a demand for this project AND I AM REALLY concerned about this type of development in our bioreserve. It is one of the few places left in the city with trees and I want to keep it that way.

That particular solution is not a long-term answer. It's based on an anomaly in claims data.

I don't think Councilor Viveiros purported it to be a long term answer. Where is the anomaly? Is it anticipated that claims will go up this year?

Just something I know but I think this building of homes on our watershed property is a dirty deal that will become public soon. These men have been at all Leo's fuctions. Thats why they took him off real estate, some one knows something and they can't or don't want to blow the whistle. PLEASE BELIEVE ME ON THIS ONE!

If anyone is interested in how to recall this mayor, now is the time. Basically you need ten people to notice the city clerk then you have 20 days to get signatures of 5% of the registered voters in fall river, which would be around 2500, then it can be certified and go to the city council and the council has no choice but to have a recall election within 60 day. Seeing as there are 150 laid off workers, if each of them got 20 signatures, or one a day, then it really could happen. It should be coordinated and advertised so that everyone is on the same page and ready to get signatures as soon as the 20 day clock is ticking.

good luck!

I think a recall is a great idea. Look at the number of signatures on the fire chief petition. This is the only way our voices can be heard.

and even if the mayor pulls another fast one and gets it killed in the city council or
boston it sure sends a message
like the fire chief petition did.

Where do I sign???

Stand in front of the unemployment office and you could get all 2500 signatures!

recall great idea, post it more on the HN so everyone can see that info. Maybe a blog page topic devoted to it?

I would love to get bob out before he can do anymore damage but I don't think it is worth it to have a special election for a new mayor when there will be a preliminary election for a mayor in 6 months.

It's worth it because right now despite all his crap it looks like he may win. Who is going to beat him of the announced or may announce candidates? Recall, recall, recall and do it now!
