Correia on WSAR today

And in another puff interview by Mike "Hurricane" Herren on wsar today, Mayor Bob Correia made my day with his ignorant blabber.

In a discussion of CSO stormwater fees, with an example Bob offered of businesses that were previously paying $2,000 a year now having to pay $27,000 a year, Bob was nonchalant about the increase. Hurricane asked Bob if he had gotten any complaints from businesses about this increase and Bob said, "Only a few business owners have been opposed to it but the biggest ones that are getting hit the hardest have said 'I don't like it but it's fair' and they are shutting up about it"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is the runoff revenue going to come from when he runs all of the businesses out of town?

Once again I stress that the Mayor has never been a leader and does not understand the ins and outs of business. Most businesses had already formulated their budget based upon the previous years expenses.

How would you like it to be told that your expenses just rose by $20,000 to $30,000!

Bob has no concept.

How sad for me, I missed the mayor's babbling on Wednesday but lucky for me, I did hear Herren jabbering about the 3 councilors who aren't in lock-step with King Bob (thank you, thank you, thank you, Steve Camara, Leo Pelletier and Ray Hague). The ever-incisive Herren promised to keep an eye on these 3 so he can figure out if they actually vote on the merits of the issues or if they just want to vote against anything the mayor wants. (Note to Herren: if you're our civic watchdog, we're all in big trouble.) Well, why didn't he look at the voting from another point of view? Could it possibly be that it's actually the Sycophant Six -- Linda, Cathy Ann, Kozak, Joe, Mike L., Pat C. -- who don't care about the issues and simply vote FOR anything their king wants? As surely as Fall River has potholes, these six have been bought and paid for with favors and promises in exchange for their blind obedience. How pitiful for them, how terrible for our city.

Herren, the watch dog of the city. It is like having a pit bull whose total brain matter has been removed except for the part that controls the barking.

Let's face it, the hosts over at WSAR are under control of Bobo who has told them to be nice when it comes to Correia.

Sorry, Annonymous, Herren may be a great guy, but as someone who only knows him from hearing him on radio, my impression is that he's just plain dumb. But, that's good for him since there is certainly a market for that in Fall River radio.

People hate on Mike Herren? No more then we "hate on" your long run on sentences, misspellings and obvious issues with grammar. I guess you represent the typical Mike Herren fan and I'm not "hating on him," I loved his sports show but listening to him try to do news and politics makes me cringe so I've stopped listening. There was only so much stuttering that I could take not to mention his almost complete lack of knowledge and understanding when it comes to local issues.

I didn't always agree with her but give me Keri Rodrigues any day of the week. At least she seemed to research the issues and came across as intelligent. You could disagree with her opinion and interpretation of the issue but you knew she did her homework.

The fact that local politicians were "hugging on Mike Herren" only disgusts me further. Herren seems firmly in the Mayor's camp at this point with his softball pitching interview. How long before he starts defending Bob's sycophant six on the City Council? Oh wait he has already started. I guess next he will be telling us how great Linda Pereira is since King Bob is backing her too.

Hurricane is hot and whats happeningand let me assure you of his intelligence. If you have issues bring it on the radio but you might have to wait awhile because the phone lines are full

If the phone lines are full, it is probably from all the callers who are trying to correct the misinformation that the Hurricane delivers on a daily basis.

For example, the Hurricane said multiple times today that public schools are better than private schools because public schools require greater credentials for their teachers and thus have better teachers.

Well, it took only a phone call from a representative from an area Catholic school to educate the Hurricane that private and public schools have had the same standard at least since 1984!

Yet, despite being shown that both schools require the same qualifications, the Hurricane continued to say that public school teachers are better - with no basis for his opinion.

Dear Mr. Hurricane,

Please stop telling people that you are a product of our education system.
