Here's one for you about those pesky Durfee kids...it appears they stole a Herald News sign...this was forwarded to me by someone who works there.

I do not know anything about it...I am cc'ing this to all staff to see if someone borrowed it.? If so, please return to the office so we can get it back.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul and Todd,

The red and black Herald News Banner that was on the field house wall on Friday, 11/20, seems to have disappeared. It was on the wall when we left the field house @ 3:30 on 11/20. Xxxxxx does not have it and I am wondering if you can help in locating it. I have received two emails from Lisa Strattan @ the Herald News and she would like to pick it up.

Any and all help and information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Xxxxxx

Apparently Paul Marshall is not that good at grammar, seeing as he put a question mark after a period.

I saw this last week in the comment section of an article on The Herald News's website. Someone had done the same thing with an exclamation point, and another commenter called the person on it. The person who made the mistake tried to justify it as normal practice in the English language!

To clear this up for the Fall River area - unless the word preceding the exclamation point or the question mark is an abbreviation, you don't put a period and a question/quotation mark together!

For example: Is the city of Salem in Mass.?

Now, are there any questions.? I didn't think so.!

I cannot tell a lie. I borrowed the sign. You can't have too many Herald News banners hanging around.

Look at this:

http://www.projo.com/news/content/EDC_CONTRACT_12-09-09_AHGNR7V_v17.3cf67be.html

It seems that the director of the who Economic Development Corporation for an entire State of over one million people is worth $250,000, while Ken Fiola is apparently worth $170,000 to Fall River for all the work he has done to grow jobs here?
