Evidently he thinks his mayoral forums would suffice for the voters.

I agree that is probably what he is thinking, but those heavily regulated, cut-people-off-when-he doesn't-like-the-questions-forums, where he has carte blanche to say whatever inaccurate information he pleases, are no substitute for a debate.

Anyone know what he is doing tonight that conflicts with the schedule of the debate?????

Find out.

The organizers should of changed the date in order to make if fit his sched.

Bob confirmed that he would be there. They picked the date based on HIS confirmation. Why should the other candidates rearrange (perhaps indefinitely, knowing Bob and his lame excuses) after they ALL agreed on the date and time.

He thinks it will be better for him not to debate like he did in the last election. It only makes him look bad.

I want to know what is the conflict tonight, what is he doing instead???

really he claims Save our neighborhoods went ahead and picked the date even though they
knew he was not available.

Ok so either bob is lying or he has severe memory loss....maybe a little of each. Save our Neighborhood's picked this date based on BOB'S schedule, BOB gave the ok on this date.

Al Lima from Save Our Neighborhood confirmed the date with Bobbo's people. The scheduling secretary was on vacation at the time and he/she claims someone who was covering the position gave Lima the go ahead. Bobbo's circus dogs are yapping that it's all Lima's fault! They won't however, explain the mayuh'splans for the evening.

How dare Bob smear the good name of one of our outstanding citizens. I would not believe bob correia if his tongue came notarized.

Alright I admit that I was never as big a fan of Eric Poulin as some other commenters because I was supporting another candidate during the last mayor's race but since I did follow that race closely I can tell you it was embarassing how many ideas some of these 2009 mayoral candidates ripped off from him, I hope they paid him consulting fees or something. Did anyone else that followed the 07 mayor's race notice this?

Anonymous said...

who did you support, what were there ideas southenda???

I agree with the last commenter, who had better ideas than Poulin when he ran for mayor the last time? If you thought his ideas were so great and then you didn't vote for him then that is pretty weak. Who the heck did you vote for? Bob Correia? Yikes!

People last election or this election or any election need to vote for the person that has the best ideas and someone they think can deliver. Voting for someone for any other reason is silly yet people do it all the time, we vote on appearance, last name, because they are a nice man or woman, because they look like they are going to win and everyone wants to be right and pick the winner. None of these are good reasons.

How about a post about the debate? Let's forget about the past for now and find out what people thought about who won last night?

A funny from The Sterile Loser

"Launched last July in Boston, MIRA Executive Director Eva Millona and her staff"

According to that sentene fragment, Eva Millona was launched in July."

Funniest thing is it is a story about English as a Second Language classes. Herald News writers should take one of those classes.

It was nice to see some serious City Council candidates there last night. Mike Miozza, Michael Canuel, and Ray Mitchell approached me and asked for my vote. Miozza got my vote last time and will this time too. I also liked what Canuel had to say. I'm undecided on Mitchell.

I did see Eric Poulin in the back at the end along with Richard Urban, Paul DaSilva, Kris Bartley, and Dave Dennis. I kept a log so I knew which candidates didn't think this was important enough to show up at.

Maybe others were there, too. I just didn't notice them (or they didn't make themselves noticable.) But if I get to vote nine times, there's eight names there that I will consider - thanks for showing up!

It's quite funny there were no incumbent councilors there besides the ones running for mayor (at least that I saw)!
