KUDOS!

Kudos to whoever rented an airplane to fly anti-bob sentiments over the waterfront today! It says "Take Back Pride 'City Wide' Vote Bob Correia out September 15th." It is flying out there now if anyone wants to take a look.

  2. who cares, at least they will have a dress rehearsal in for the 15th !!

  3. Truly hope it's indicative of the sentiment out there in the community. If not, Fall River is "dead." We all should be "mad as hell." This corrupt, self-serving, ignorant, unethical, dirty, cronie-based tyrant has gotta go.

P.S. As much as I wish it so, it was not me flying that plane.

  4. It must have been Shamrock that raised the money and arranged for the Correia plane. Otherwise how would he have known to announce it on this blog as it was happening?

    ReplyDelete
  5. because there was a comment in the herald news and there is a coalition of people working together on this that you have underestimated.

  7. Mayors fundraiser at Mcgoverns was packed to the gills. I was there. Maybe one of the largest turnouts I've seen in awhile. This does not count the thousands of tickets that were sold to no-show supporters.

Well obviously Shamrock is a member of the coalition. Why be so deceptive and fake in posting "kudos to whoever rented an airplane..."? Like he didn't know who it was. He could have stood up and said "Look what WE did". But that would require honesty.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Who is the coalition promoting for Mayor ?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Anyone but Bob that is who they are promoting,

    Shamrock can have an opinion
like many others and say kudos.

read the comments in the herald:

Jim1234--Do not fear, other bloggers have it right 'Signs do not vote'. I have it on pretty good authority (a Correia worker by intimidation-not choice), that the mayor himself is stopping at locations that have opposing candidates signs up and demanding they put his up and take theirs down!!!!! Same individual also stated he received a call from the Correia administration instructing him to go to locations with opposing candidates signs and get them by threat to take them down and put up Correia signs. It is also rumored that Correia's own poll numbers show him running third behind Ray Hague and another candidate whose name I could not get. So, take heart, in five weeks it is possible Correia will not even be in the final!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. and they stepped up the intimidation after the plane
    flew over fall river celebrates,
ithe were out that night in a panic
demanding opposing candidates signs be taken down. Know for a fact they demanded someone take down a flanagan sign.

  12. Something better than the airplane banner is on the way too.

    Maybe the mayors campaign manager
joe viana, (also in charge of the career center) will find out what it is like to be in the unemployment line.

  26. FIRST THE FACTS...the mayors fundraiser was at maximum capacity a huge turnout with over 100,000 raised. Also most of the people who attended the festival thought it was tacky and tasteless. It also offended the countless volunteers who dedicated over 100 hrs this week to make FRCA happen.A few other things ..if anyone on this blog doesnt think that the mayor is going to be in the top two in sept they are a fool..and any info leaked about polls are usually mis information ...Last ??? shamrock have you totally committed to a anti bob campaign and if so how can anyone expect even the slightest objectivity????

  32. I didn't attend the mayor's party at McGovern's but I know several people who did (not by choice but out of fear), so sad he can actually make people live in fear!! These people are the only people to blame--don't let this fool dictate what you do/don't do. Also, I think it's digusting that cops, teachers etc were at this party, what is wrong with this city?????? If this dictator makes it past the primary, I am moving out of Fall River and the people who live here deserve everything they get with this idiot!!!!!!!!

  33. What is the capacity at mcgoverns vs the venus??? Previous mayors had better turnouts

If they are selling tickets on the job or you are being approached on the job it is very illegal and the office of campaign finance does not mess around when it comes to that so have a witness and maybe a recording on your phone drop a dime and they will investigate.

  36. Re: Anon 8-10-09, 00:42

Yeah, Shamrock, you should be more objective about Saint Bob. You see, if your viewpoint weren’t so skewed, you’d realize that it was really a blessing in disguise that those poor folks lost everything in the fire last week. Because if Bob-o hadn’t slashed the fire department’s ranks, the firefighters wouldn’t have had the chance to prove that they are still willing to run into burning buildings even when they don’t have enough comrades to ensure that they’ll make it out alive.

And as for the recent rash of shootings that the police are too short-handed to prevent, again, many thanks to Mayor McScrooge for helping to “decrease the surplus population.” Now that’s urban renewal at its best! Just ask Dickens.

Yes, Shamrock, your opinions seem to be based totally on teeny weenie little factual events that, if you were being objective about them—like Anon 00:42—you would see are actually in the best interests of us all.

So I say thank you, Saint Mayor McBob. I for one am not going to let your teeny weenie change my objective opinion of your enormous magnitude!

  40. Shamrock,
Thank you for the smile I got from your erroneous know-it-all pompous response.

Jibberish means unintelligible rubbish. You speak it when you have a fever or when you are very drunk.

There is also a language, (jibberish) that is related to Pig Latin. In jibberish, "dog" would be "dthegog" and "cat" would be "cthegat". To speak Jibberish... Let's say you want to say "frog" in jibberish (don't ask me why, but...) First, you would take the first letter and...(look below)
    FROG -> (F+"the")-ROG -> F-THE("g"+ ROG) -> F-THE-G-ROG -> FTHEGROG -> fthegrog

So perhaps you are right, because Jibberish is in fact one of the following:

    (From Urban Dictionary)

A real language that girls use to tell each other things so boys won't know what they're saying.

A language made up by the user(s) that doesn't fall under any particular established tounge(sic).

To speak in a manner that is of the Jibber tribe

words spoken in a different language which is really fun

  51. Mayor Correia is doing a great job and bloggers and commenters are poisonous. So says Marilyn Roderick and Brian Bigelow at the Mayor's meeting. Funny how I thought the meeting was for residents to ask the mayor questions and not for elected officials to grandstand while they kiss the mayor's ring and also his butt.

  53. and we are being charged fees for the cesspool this mayor has turned the city into.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Antonio Salazar10 August, 2009 23:42

Marilyn Roderick was completely out of line tonight. She, Brian Bigelow, and some jackass that ran for school committee in the past, turned the forum into a platform for political grandstanding. It was a NEIGHBORHOOD FORUM for people to come ask questions and voice their concerns. Unfortunately those people felt it necessary to stifle the concerns of a man who wanted the prostitutes out of his neighborhood, a woman who couldn't get a return phonecall from the building inspector or the mayor's office, and many others who had legitimate interests in the forum.

To Marilyn Roderick, it is all sunbeams and roses, to brian bigelow it is all about audits and "pulling together to pull together to make this city better," and to Mike Ramos, the people in the forum tonight aren't involved and if they see a drug dealer in their neighborhood, they should go up and pound on his window and tell him to go away, just like Mike did....just brilliant.

  57. I love how bloggers and commenters are the root of all of Fall River's problems. But hey I guess when you are an incumbent who hasn't been getting the job done you need to find a scapegoat, someone or something to blame for why you are failing so miserably at your job.

First the incumbents tried to blame the economy but people didn't buy it because they see other communities suffering but not as much as Fall River because of the mismanagement that is rampant in our city. So now it is the fault of the bloggers and commenters.

Marilyn Roderick and Brian Bigelow are scared, scared that the party is over and they won't be rewarded for their inability to think for themselves. Your fear is right on guys and gals, your free ride is over, time to elect people that are going to do a better job for all of us. That flushing sound is your political careers going down the toilet. Change is coming. Incumbents be afraid, be very afraid.
